Privacy Policy for ProLite

Last Updated: September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ProLite ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (the "App") on Android or iOS devices.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding any data handling associated with our application.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the ProLite application. By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Overview and Core Privacy Principle

ProLite is a lighting control application designed to connect with and manage compatible smart lighting hardware, including photography, studio, and ambient lighting fixtures, using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

We respect your privacy. ProLite is designed to operate locally on your device without collecting, storing, transmitting, or selling your personal information.

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use its core lighting-control functionality.

2. Information We Collect

A. Personal Data

No Personal Information Collected:
We do not collect, store, or process personally identifiable information (PII), such as:

No User Accounts:
You are not required to create an account, register, or log in to use the App.

B. Device & Operational Data

Lighting configurations, color adjustments (including CCT, RGB, and lighting effects), brightness levels, and custom presets created by you are stored locally on your device and/or transmitted directly to your connected lighting hardware.

We do not use this information to identify you.

C. No Tracking or Advertising Profiles

We do not track your activity across other applications, and we do not use advertising identifiers to create a behavioral profile of you.

We do not sell personal information or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Bluetooth and Device Permissions

ProLite uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) as part of its core functionality to discover, connect to, and communicate with compatible lighting hardware.

Bluetooth communication is used to transmit lighting-related commands, such as:

A. Android

Depending on the Android version and device configuration, ProLite may request Bluetooth permissions required by the Android operating system for discovering and communicating with nearby Bluetooth devices.

On supported Android versions, these may include:

On older Android versions, Bluetooth functionality may require permissions applicable to those Android releases, including location permission for Bluetooth Low Energy device discovery where required by the Android operating system.

Important: ProLite does not use Bluetooth scanning to determine, record, monitor, or transmit your physical geographical location.

Any location permission that may be required by an older Android version is used solely because the Android operating system requires it for Bluetooth device discovery.

B. iOS

On iOS devices, ProLite may request Bluetooth access to discover and communicate with compatible lighting hardware.

Bluetooth access is used solely for the App's lighting-control functionality, including discovering compatible devices, establishing a BLE connection, and sending supported lighting commands.

ProLite does not use Bluetooth access to collect, track, or determine your physical geographical location.

If Bluetooth access is denied, certain App functionality involving compatible Bluetooth lighting hardware may not be available.

4. Platform Services and Third-Party Services

ProLite does not integrate third-party advertising networks, analytics trackers, or social media SDKs for user profiling.

Android

The Android version of ProLite may use standard Google Play platform services where required for application distribution or application update functionality.

For example, the Android version may use the Google Play In-App Update API to check for and notify users about available application updates.

Interactions with Google Play services are governed by Google's applicable privacy policies.

iOS

The iOS version of ProLite is distributed through the Apple App Store and may use standard Apple platform services required for application distribution, updates, or operating-system functionality.

Apple's handling of information associated with its platform services is governed by Apple's applicable privacy policies.

ProLite itself does not use Apple platform services to collect or sell personal information.

5. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

App preferences, lighting presets, configurations, and other settings created through the App are stored locally on your device where applicable.

No Remote Server Transmission

ProLite does not operate external cloud servers or databases that collect or store your lighting usage data or personal information.

Direct Bluetooth Communication

Communication between your mobile device and compatible lighting hardware occurs directly through a local Bluetooth Low Energy connection.

Lighting commands and settings are not transmitted to a ProLite-operated remote server.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because ProLite does not collect or transmit personal information to external ProLite servers:

ProLite does not maintain a remote personal-data database that requires a separate account deletion request.

7. Children's Privacy

ProLite does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

The App does not require users to create accounts or submit personal information to use its core functionality.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

8. Compliance with Privacy Regulations

Depending on your country or region of residence, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including laws such as:

Because ProLite is designed not to collect, process, sell, or maintain personal information on remote ProLite servers:

Certain rights and obligations may nevertheless depend on the specific jurisdiction and circumstances.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, platform requirements, or App features.

Any updates will be reflected by revising the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
